Privacy Policy — Circuit Hacker
This Privacy Policy explains how Chase Tuttle (operating as "NovaLayer") ("we," "us," "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use Circuit Hacker ("the App"). NovaLayer is a trade name, not a registered legal entity — Chase Tuttle, an individual, is the sole party responsible for the App and this policy.
1. Information We Collect
Account data:
- Email address used to create your account, and your password (handled by our authentication provider and stored securely — never in plain text; we never see your password)
- The public username you choose for leaderboards
- In-game progress, currencies, purchases, stats, and settings tied to your account (so your game follows you across devices)
Automatically collected data:
- Basic device information needed to run the game and serve ads (e.g., device model, OS version, and — where you permit it — advertising identifiers)
- Gameplay data such as levels completed and scores, stored with your account
Circuit Hacker does not use third-party analytics or crash-reporting services, and does not collect your precise location, contacts, camera, or microphone data.
Data handled by third-party services:
- Clerk — manages account creation, sign-in, and authentication (email address and sign-in credentials). Privacy policy
- Google AdMob — serves advertisements in the mobile app and may collect device and advertising identifiers. Ads are requested non-personalized unless you explicitly consent to personalization via the in-app consent form. Privacy policy
- RevenueCat — processes in-app purchase data (purchase history, subscription status) for purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Privacy policy
- Stripe — processes payments for purchases made through our secure web checkout. We receive confirmation of your purchase, not your card details. Privacy policy
- Meta/Facebook — if you choose to connect Facebook, we receive your Facebook identifier, public profile name and profile photo, and the friends Meta makes available through its user_friends permission. We use this only to match friends who also connected Facebook to Circuit Hacker. Facebook access tokens are encrypted at rest and are deleted when you disconnect Facebook or delete your account. 2. How We Use Information
We use collected data to:
- Operate the App and keep your progress in sync across your devices
- Display advertisements (non-personalized unless you consent)
- Process and deliver purchases and subscriptions
- Run leaderboards and other shared features using your chosen username
- Diagnose problems and improve the App
- Prevent fraud and abuse
- Show social features only between Circuit Hacker accounts that have mutually available Facebook identities
3. Third-Party Sharing
We share data only with the service providers listed in Section 1, each governed by their own privacy policies, and only as needed to provide their service. We do not sell your personal information.
4. Children's Privacy
Circuit Hacker is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us at Novalayergames@gmail.com and we will delete it.
5. Your Choices
- Ad tracking: You can limit ad personalization via your device settings (iOS: Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking; Android: Settings > Google > Ads) and via the in-app consent form where shown.
- Account data: You can update your username within the App, or request access, correction, or deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at Novalayergames@gmail.com.
- Account deletion: You can permanently delete your account at any time directly in the App (Account screen > DELETE ACCOUNT), or by contacting Novalayergames@gmail.com if you can't access the App. This permanently removes your account, cloud saves, progress, currencies, and our purchase records, except a minimal anonymous deletion marker and payment records retained for legal or fraud-prevention purposes. 6. Data Retention
We retain account and gameplay data for as long as your account exists, and purchase records as required for accounting, legal, and fraud-prevention purposes. If you connect Facebook, encrypted access credentials and cached matched-friend edges are retained only while the connection is active; disconnecting removes them. Data no longer needed is deleted.
7. International Users
If you access the App from outside the United States, your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date above.
